Manufactured out of rugged, durable polyethylene, these units are one-piece, seamless and watertight. Simply put, they won’t leak, chip, rust or corrode. The tank lip is designed with a flange to allow for a “shoebox” type fit of its lid.

Molded from 100% FDA approved materials, these vessels will hold water and food products without imparting any taste or residue. Chemical and impact resistant, they are designed to endure extreme temperatures. However, if excessive exposure to the sun is in their future, we recommend that you specify that you want your tanks UV stabilized.

In order to ensure the tank you get fits your needs we recommend the following:

• If relevant, make sure the dimensions and weight of the tank you have selected are appropriate. This information can be found under each tank’s product description;
• Consider what you will be storing in the tank. Polyethylene tanks are designed to safely contain virtually anything but fuel. However, there are exceptions to every rule. If you will be storing an obscure industrial or agricultural chemical please confirm the tank’s compatibility with an American Tank Company expert. If polyethylene is not appropriate for your situation, these talented individuals can provide a recommendation for your particular need; and
• Remember that our open top tanks are sold separately from their lids. Don’t forget to order the appropriate lid for your open top tank. Both tanks and lids can be purchased online or via phone.

In addition, please do keep in mind that all American Tank Company rectangular closed top tanks are normally supplied in natural white. Black is available if specifically requested. American Tank Company supports the manufacturer’s 1-year limited warranty, dependent on the chemical compatibility of the tank’s intended content with the tank and tank fitting materials.
